Despite the doom-and-gloom predictions Web directories continue to deliver results for internet advertisers. Our traffic at Big Guide is stronger then ever and continues to grow each month. At one point last Fall Big Guide had a Google pagerank of 5 and then came the Google re-adjustment of directories… and we lost all pagerank. Discouraging? Yes. But, what was interesting is the traffic continued to grow despite the apparent reduction in search engine strength. Indeed our traffic driven by search engine results is now stronger than ever in terms of both actual numbers and as a percentage.

Not only does our traffic continue to grow, but the number of listings we receive is also at an all-time high in May. Thank you very much advertisers!
